A quarter of the world’s top universities led by women – What about Hungary?

Of the 11 Hungarian institutions included in the Times Higher Education (THE) global university ranking, only the University of Miskolc is led by a woman. This less than 10 percent share is below the global average of around 25 percent. In fact, 48 of the top 200 universities in THE's global ranking are run by women. But among the smaller universities in Hungary that are not included in THE's ranking, there are several female-led institutions.

A total of six new English-language master's programmes will be launched at Corvinus in September 2023, after the university had already announced one English-language master's programme in the current admission process.

Hungary's most powerful supercomputer, with a computing capacity of 50,000 laptops per minute, was inaugurated in Debrecen on 13 January.
